Randall Weis,
President and Founder
In 1990, Randy’s strong entrepreneurial spirit and keen
industry vision culminated in the launch of his own full-service
flooring maintenance company serving the commercial market.
His extensive experience in various management positions with
a major international pharmaceutical company, coupled with
industry affiliations—Randy was a founding member of
the Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity (Cincinnati,
OH), founder and first president of the Association of Interstate
Commerce Commission Practitioners and president of the National
Council of Physical Distribution Managers—had yielded
extensive industry resources and a solid background in facilities
management.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor
of Science degree in Business Logistics and Instructor of
Logistics and Curriculum Advisor at the same institution,
Randy was the youngest person on record to be admitted to
practice before the Interstate Commerce Commission at the
age of 20.
After the launch of RD Weis Companies, he quickly recognized
the benefits of working with manufacturer-specified cleaning
programs and established a relationship with Milliken, one
of the world’s leading textile manufacturers. In 1996,
he formalized his company’s successful relationship
with Milliken by becoming an authorized MilliCare® Commercial
Carpet Care franchisee and then focused on expanding RD Weis
Companies’ range of product and service offerings.
Randy shares his industry expertise while playing an active
role in multiple industry, civic and cultural associations.
He is the sitting Chairman of the StarNet® Commercial Flooring
Cooperative (where he also served two terms as Director); Advisory Board Member of Grout Armor Company,
Ft Lauderdale, FL; Advisory Board Member of CFS of Charlotte,
NC; Board Member of the Muscular Dystrophy Association; Board
Member of the Fairfield Arts Council; past Board Member of
IFMA, Hudson Valley Chapter; and past Board Member and Director
of Membership of IFMA, Connecticut Chapter.
A frequent contributor to industry publications, Randy has
been quoted in and written articles for a variety of publications
including Crain’s New York Business, New York Real
Estate Journal, Cleaning & Maintenance Management, Today’s
Facility Manager, Facilities Design & Management, Better
Buildings, Carpet & Rug Industry and Real Estate

Kevin Kingsland,
Director of National Accounts
Promoted
to his current position in June of 2006, Kevin is charged
with growing RD Weis‚ full range of service offerings
in the national market. His primary efforts are focused on
maximizing opportunities for service expansion to existing
clients and pursuing a broadening scope of nationwide multi-location
retail accounts. Kevin joined the company in the early 90‚s
as Operations Manager and, within a short time, was promoted
to Manager of National Accounts. He remained in this position
until he was named Director of Sales. As such, he oversaw
the Port Chester and New Jersey offices‚ sales staff,
developing and implementing new sales initiatives, including
the creation of a protocol for new sales associates, and
enlarging the company‚s market share in flooring maintenance.
Kevin was elected to the Board of the Hudson Valley Chapter
of IFMA and currently serves as Treasurer. He holds an Associates
Degree in Business from Norwalk Community College. |

Michael Barry,
Director of New Business Development, Detroit
Michael joined the RD Weis Companies team in August 2007, bringing
in–depth experience in sales for commercial interiors. Responsible for
New Business Development & Account maintenance, Michael is skilled at
developing leads, maintaining profitability through product selection and
placement, and communicating customer needs through design to
installation. Notably, Michael maintains excellent and mutually
profitable relationships with vendors, general contractors, real
estate brokers, and the A&D community. Before entering the contract
office furniture industry, Michael spent five years in the
manufacturing industry working with automotive suppliers. He got his
start in sales as an account manager selling office technology for a
local Michigan dealer. A Michigan native, Michael enjoys sailboat
racing, Michigan State football games, and spending time with family
and friends. |

Christopher
Dias, Operations Logistics Supervisor/Port Chester NY
Christopher joined RD Weis in the spring of 2000 as a carpet
maintenance technician. In the summer of 2003 he was promoted
to the role of Warehouse Manager. He has continued to climb
the Rd Weis corporate ladder, and moved into his current role
of Operations Logistical Supervisor in 2005. Christopher currently
handles all scheduling for the Port Chester and NY Metro Office,
in addition to handling the warehouse and vehicle fleet. Christopher,
along with Vic Fotia, RD Weis Operations Manager at the RD Weis
Headquarters, continues to put our customers first and plays
a huge role in assuring company growth. |

Edwin Escoto, Manager Maintenance &
Operations/Connecticut MA
We were very pleased to welcome Edwin back in July of 2007, after his excellent work for RD Weis Companies in 2005 as a consultant in our South Windsor CT office. Edwin recruits, hires, and manages outstanding operational management and technical personnel; he also helps and teaches people in our other offices when needed. With his diverse business experience and professional management skills, Edwin is expert at managing relationships with employees, sub-contractors, office personnel, clients and unions according to company and state regulations, and he ensures customer satisfaction through regular follow-up call, proactive inspections, and remediation. Responsible for training and orientation for all new employees, Edwin fosters a consistent flow of communication with clients, technicians, central administration and senior management. We value Edwin’s ability to take pro-active and creative approaches in resolving any operational challenges. Edwin’s training and certifications include: MRT State of Connecticut (Medical Response Technician), firefighting training, C.P.R. & A.E.D. Certify State of Connecticut, CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Member, American Red Cross Certified Shelter Manager, and comprehensive OSHA and FEMA training. |

Vic Fotia,
Regional Operations Manager
Vic Fotia joined RD Weis in 1994 as a Carpet Technician and
quickly rose through the ranks, holding the positions of Lead
Technician, Field Coordinator, Operations Supervisor of the
CT office, Assistant to the Operations Manager based in the
Port Chester Headquarters, Night-time Supervisor and, currently,
Manager of Operations. He is responsible for overseeing the
duties of more than 20 Technicians and two Night Field Supervisors
in the Port Chester, NY Metro, NJ and Lower CT areas. A committed,
"hands-on" manager, Vic, along with Chris Dias, Operations
Logistical Supervisor, continues to put RD Weis customers first
and plays a huge role in assuring company growth. Vic, a native
of Port Chester, is a die-hard Yankees fan and he prides himself
on never missing a game! |

Sheri
Gorman , Senior A&D Specialist, Metro
NY
Sheri is responsible for developing new sales contracts and supervising existing
customer accounts in the New York metro area, with a focus on A&D, end-user
and dealer accounts. Having joined the RD Weis sales team in January of 2007,
Sheri brings a wealth of valuable experience in the A&D market to her current
position. Credentialed with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, along with
additional academic and professional training and LEED CEU Certification, she
has worked in sales for a variety of companies as an Architectural & Design
Specialist for the past 15 years. As A&D Specialist with Milliken & Company,
she acquired experience in carpet tile specification for the Top 100 Interior
Design Firms in the New York metro area, and was responsible for leading the
company’s A&D strategy in this region. Sheri is affiliated with IIDA,
AIA, ASID, NEWH, PWC and StarNet. |

Derrick Hines,
Operations Manager, Albany NY
Derrick joined the RD Weis operations team in the Fall of 2004,
when the company acquired the assets of The Invironmentalists™
(formerly known as DuPont Flooring Systems). In his current
position Derrick is responsible for overseeing the duties of
RD Weis Technicians and Field Supervisors in the Upstate area.
A committed, "hands-on" manager, he brings close to
20 years’ experience in the flooring and facilities maintenance
industries to RD Weis’ clients. Previously he served as
Operations Manager for The Invironmentalists’ Albany-based
business for seven years, and, before that, as Director of Environmental
Services for a healthcare facility. Derrick is an avowed cruiser—he’s
passionate about travel aboard luxury cruise ships, and vacations
this way as often as time and resources permit. |

David T. Hammons,
Account Executive, Albany NY
David joined the RD Weis Companies team in April 2008. His flooring industry background includes two years as a Territory Manager for FloorServe, Inc., where David was the liaison for seven carpet manufacturers to 23 Lowes Home Improvement Centers in NY, CT, and MA. David was responsible for training, business planning, account management, and trouble shooting of all types. Prior to Lowes, David worked for three years at the National Soccer Hall of Fame Museum in Oneonta, NY, as the Manager of Special Projects where his primary focus was to manage, maintain, and design their website. Here, David worked closely with the Director of Communications to promote the Hall of Fame locally and nationally, and he also coordinated and expanded the High School Hall of Fame Cup into one of the most successful tournaments in New York State.
David earned his BS Degree from SUNY Oneonta, NY with a concentration in Business and Economics, and a minor in Sports Management. He lives in Schenectady, NY. |

Jeanne Love,
Senior Account Executive/NY
After a 15-year career in sales, customer service, office management,
purchasing, planning and inventory control in commercial, manufacturing
and engineering environments, Jeanne joined RD Weis in 1998.
Based in Denville, New Jersey, she is responsible for developing
new corporate sales contracts, managing service schedules and
supervising existing customer accounts. |

Ed Maffia,
Senior Account Executive/Metro NY
Ed joined The Invironmentalists™ sales staff in 1998,
and has been responsible for the development of new accounts
for their trademarked carpet maintenance system, ResisTech™.
With RD Weis’ acquisition of The Invironmentalists’
New York, NY and Canton, MA offices in June of 2004, Ed continues
to service current ResisTech accounts, while selling this
cleaning/maintenance system to prospects in the New York metro
area. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Iona College,
and completed post-graduate work in business at George Mason
University. |

Christopher
Mancus, General Manager/Detroit
Chris joined RD Weis’ Port Chester headquarters in 1999
as Manager of Procurement & Warehousing. He was soon promoted
to Manager of Operations, during which time he was charged
with supervising all operational issues from labor to logistics.
Earlier experience was primarily in inventory control and
sales management. Having relocated to the Detroit area, Chris
was appointed to the newly established position of General
Manager/Detroit in early 2006.

James McVoy,
Senior Account Executive/Port Chester NY
An RD Weis veteran, James started with the company soon after
its founding as a field technician. His hard work and diligence
quickly led to his promotion to lead technician and, then,
to Manager of Operations. In 1993, James helped the company
open its first branch office in East Hartford, CT. Developing
business in the Hartford and Boston area markets, James served
as RD Weis’ Area Manager. After moving back to the Port
Chester headquarters, he was promoted to his current position
of Senior Account Executive. In this capacity, James is responsible
for penetrating and servicing large accounts, developing new
business relationships and educating clients and prospects
on proper carpet selection, installation and maintenance. |

Abbey Michaels,
Independent Rep/Upstate NY
Abbey is an Independant Sales Representative who sells products and services in the upstate NY market. Before Abbey was an Independant Sales Rep he was the RD Weis Maintenance Manager for the upstate market. Prior to joining the RD Weis team, Abbey
worked in the hospitality industry in the New York area, and
for the U.S. Postal Service. |

Roberto Carlos Molina,
Senior Project Manager / Estimator
Carlos joined RD Weis in the Fall of 2004, after having acquired
close to a decade of experience with a Westchester-based flooring
company. Hailing from El Salvador, Carlos∂ family moved
to the Port Chester area when he was 11 years old. College
courses in architecture amply prepared Carlos for working
with blueprints, AutoCAD files, etc., in order to perform
project estimating. And his several years as an installer
with his previous employer, followed by promotion into management
positions, have equipped him with the skills for project management.
He oversees jobs out of the Port Chester corporate headquarters
and some of the metro area jobs. As Carlos likes to say, "The
jobs start with me and end with me. It’s great—I
get to see the final results!" |

M. Valerie
Moody, Senior Account Executive/CT
Valerie joined RD Weis in 1997, after a 16-year career in
sales, marketing and account management positions in the travel/hospitality
and pharmaceutical industries. Based in the S. Windsor, CT
office, she supervises business activities, develops new accounts
and manages existing accounts in the Hartford area. An experienced
sales and marketing professional with a diverse background,
Valerie is a valued member of RD Weis’ metropolitan
New York and Connecticut-based account and customer service
team. |

Donald Nase Jr., Senior Sales Executive
Don joined the RDW sales team in January 2008, with a wide range of experience in sales, operations, public relations, and marketing. A New Jersey native, Don is a prize-winning drag racer, bringing high energy, strength, and discipline to his work on behalf of his clients. Don has provided product consultation and specifications to municipal and state building divisions, and supplied clients with field measurements and blueprint take-offs for building materials. Additionally, Don developed new business plans for large retail end users, and worked closely with the architectural and design communities to address client-specific design needs and goals. From building custom-made performance vehicles to creating new market shares, Don’s dedication to customer service helps his clients over the finish line—every time. Besides professional drag racing, Don enjoys playing golf, fishing, hunting, weight training, and spending time with his friends and family. |

Michael D.
Pendergast, Senior Account Executive/Central NY
Mike joined RD Weis as Regional Manager for Central New York,
with responsibilities for opening a new branch office in Victor,
NY. Mike has experience in all areas of carpeting, maintenance
and facilities’ management, as well as a dedication
to customer service. Since joining the company in 1998, he
has focused his efforts primarily on building carpet selection,
installation, reuse and renewal business in the Rochester,
Syracuse and Binghamton areas. Prior to RD Weis, Mike was
a Department Manager for Office Environments, Asheville, NC,
where he started in 1991. |

Charlotte
Pennella, Manager of Purchasing & Project Controls
Charlotte joined the RD Weis team in March of 2006 as Purchasing
Manager. In this position her main objective is to service internal
and external customers by purchasing goods and services from
the right suppliers at the right price, quality and delivery.
Charlotte oversees an integral part of the Project Process,
beginning with the estimating department and flowing through
to the purchasing and expediting areas. Charlotte is also responsible
for sourcing and negotiating supplier contracts for all offices.
With credentials in Purchasing and Materials Management from
NYU, Charlotte acquired experience as Senior Buyer for an acrylics
manufacturer and as Purchasing Manager for an advertising specialty
company. Immediately prior to RD Weis, Charlotte was Purchasing
Manager for an international IT solutions provider for seven
years. |

Larry
Riggi, Manager, Maintenance Operations/Central/Western,
NY
Larry joined the RD Weis operations team at the close of 2004,
when the company acquired the assets of The Invironmentalists™
(formerly known as DuPont Flooring Systems), where he was Operations
Manager for two years. In his current position he manages all
aspects of operations including the output of the Rochester
office’s six technicians, along with warehouse operations
and vehicle fleet. Before joining The Invironmentalists, Larry
was sole proprietor of his own janitorial services company,
which he launched in 1992 and eventually expanded to three locations
in Upstate/Central New York. Nowadays, Larry spends his leisure
time camping with his family, and rooting for the Yankees and
the Buffalo Bills. |

George Ringel,
Executive Director/Metro NY
With over three decades of sales/marketing experience in the
flooring industry, George brings a wealth of knowledge and
customer service skills to RD Weis. Prior to joining The InvironmentalistsÙ
in early 2004, he served as vice president of a major flooring
companyÌs commercial division, which generated in excess of
13 million dollars in sales, where he implemented a national
accounts program. George’s vast experience encompasses
everything from management positions with major-name carpet
mills to store/sales manager responsibilities, so he knows
the flooring industry literally from the ground up! |

Rose Salerno,
National Accounts Representative
Rose assumed her current position in June of '06, with full responsibility for customer service and managing RD Weis‚ national accounts programs. She began her career at RD Weis in 1998 as Customer Service Coordinator and, within the year, was promoted to Procurement Supervisor. Prior to joining RD Weis, Rose worked in various administrative capacities for Loral Space & Communications and The Wackenhut Corporation. Rose holds an Associate Degree in Occupational Studies from the Wood School, New York, NY. |

Jose Segarra, Poject Manager/Metro NY,
Jose joined the RD Weis team in October 2005, as in-house liaison
to the government and healthcare markets. Based out of the New
York offices, Jose is charged with expanding current clients’
familiarity with, and reliance on, RD Weis’ varied products
and services. Additionally, Jose will introduce the company’s
flooring and related capabilities to prospects, assisting them
in their specifications. Jose brings extensive experience to
his current role from both the flooring as well as telecommunications
fields. |

Rob Shannon,
Senior Account Executive/Metro NY
Robert Shannon joined the RD Weis sales team in March 2005,
and is responsible for expanding the company’s market
share in carpet maintenance and product installation in the
New York City and New Jersey territories. He brings 25 years
of successful selling skills to RD Weis. A former member of
The Invironmentalists™ NYC sales force, his familiarity
with maintenance technologies will benefit current and prospective
clients alike. With an M.B.A. in Marketing from Hofstra University,
Rob has successfully applied his knowledge and aptitude to various
sales positions in consumables and sporting goods, and several
positions in the banking industry. |

Rosa M. Spoto,
Chief of Staff HR
Rosa has, since her hire at RD Weis in 1993, been promoted through a series of appointments, each with increasing responsibilities and prominence. She holds a Certificate in Human Resources from Manhattanville College and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. As Chief of Staff, she oversees the entire finance organization, as well as Employee Relations, Recruiting, Implementation of policies and procedures, Benefits, Compensation, Training and Development, Payroll, file maintenance and employee recognitions and strategic alliances with consultants throughout all seven RD Weis office locations.
Rosa has also served RD Weis Companies as Director, Administration & Operations/Metro NY, during which time she was responsible for the integration of The Invironmentalists’ sales and maintenance operations with those of RD Weis’. Prior to this, Rosa served for two years as Manager, Projects & Services, charged with oversight on Purchasing, Inventory Control, Project Accounting, Contract Services and Installation Services in the Port Chester headquarters. She first joined RD Weis in an administrative role, was soon promoted to Manager of Retail Sales, and then to Projects Manager in 1996. Rosa earned her BA in Business Administration from Pace University. |

Annie Vinton,
Senior Account Executive/Port Chester NY
Annie joined the RD Weis Companies team in March of 2008, bringing us her many years of success in communications and strategic media planning. When she was Senior Manager of Global Marketing Partnerships for the NBA, Annie served as strategic planning and communications leader for the Sprite and Venetian accounts. She created, delivered, and executed strategic marketing presentations and plans to support client and NBA goals. With her NBA partners, Annie managed all facets of national and local promotion around the "Sprite Rising Stars Slam Dunk" campaign at the NBA All-Star Game 2007, including planning and on-site execution. Working effectively with digital media, advertising, licensing, and communications departments within the NBA and Coke agencies, Annie led marketing communications and managed $15 million-plus budgets for accounts. Previously, as Marketing Director at Genesco Sports Enterprises, Annie was responsible for managing communications between Pepsi Bottling Group's Business Units and Pepsi Cola North America (PCNA) Sports Department to effectively integrate PCNA’s national sports initiatives with local market initiatives. Here, Annie oversaw the strategy and management of Sierra Mist's multi-million dollar sports marketing portfolio, managing and implementing sponsorship of Major League Soccer—where she initiated and executed Sierra Mist's endorsement relationship with soccer phenomenon Freddy Adu. Before that, at Metzger Associates in Boulder, Colorado, Annie was awarded the Colorado's Public Relations Society of America Gold Pick award for her work on Exabyte's Initial Public Offering campaign.

Paul Vogan, Regional Manager/Boston
Paul joined the RD Weis Companies team in 2007. A Massachusetts native, Paul has over three decades of in-depth experience in flooring sales, project management, and all installation. He started with an all-inclusive contract with Sears years ago, and then worked with many public, commercial, and school facilities. Working with local unions years ago, Paul installed the flooring for many high schools and public facilities throughout New England. He was involved in carpeting the Sheraton World offices at 60 State Street when first built, and the John Hancock observation deck when first built. Most recently, he worked on the Senate hallways in the MA State House and installed flooring for the Massachusetts Port offices, working on the Port Director’s offices below the Logan airport control tower. Paul installed Marmoleum with flash cove base for the New England Baptist Hospital, and maintained the carpeting for The Wang Center and the Schubert Theater. He recently installed flooring in the Fitchburg Police Station and Elder Community Center, and the Men's Warehouse Downtown Crossing. Paul is best known, however, for his ten episodes on This Old House, working with Bob Villa, Steve Thomas, and producer Russell Morash. Paul is an accomplished detailed draftsman; he also serves as the Junior Varsity Coach for the Belmont Lacrosse team, is the founder and President of the Belmont Youth Lacrosse Program, and is a ten-year Belmont Booster member, currently serving on their golf committee. Paul is also an aggressive fundraiser for local charities. So watch out—he is always looking for that tax-deductible dollar you need to spend. |

Ernie Wheeler, Senior
Account Executive
Carpet industry veteran Ernie Wheeler joined the RD Weis sales team in December
2006, based out of the company’s Rochester, NY offices. Ernie, who is charged
with developing new corporate education and healthcare sales contracts and supervising
existing customer accounts in the Central and Western New York regions, brings
extensive experience in the commercial sector to his current position, having
worked as a mill rep for Lees/Mohasco in Upstate New York and Virginia, and in
floor covering/maintenance sales with DuPont Flooring Systems in the Rochester
area. Most recently, Ernie was Sales Manager in the Rochester branch of Rochester
Flooring Resource. A graduate of St. John Fisher College with a BA in Communications,
Ernie is known in the industry as a consummate professional and is very well
liked both on the end user side, and by mill reps that service Upstate NY. Ernie
is married and has three children. |

Angela Zeolla,
General Accountant
Recently promoted to General Accountant in recognition of her
expertise and efficiency, Angela joined RD Weis in 1998, as Accounting
Manager, after four years' experience in office management and
production. She was simultaneously enrolled at Iona College, from
which she later earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
Based in the Port Chester headquarters, Angela is responsible for all
of the company's day–to–day accounting operations. |
