The Grout Armor™ process starts with
an application of Prep Crystals by RD
Weis certified technicians. This trademarked emulsifying
cleaner loosens and expels all dirt, biohazards, oil, grease,
mold, and other contaminants in the grout and prepares it for
application of the Grout Armor™ Color Sealer. Non-toxic
and odor-free, this water-based sealer is made of acrylic,
titanium, and Teflon. Upon application to the prepared surface,
it is absorbed into the grout and bonds with it.
The restored grout is sparkling clean, looks fresh and new,
and is resistant to all stains. The sealer protects the cleaned
grout by producing an impermeable surface—literally,
an acrylic "armor"—that offers long-term protection
from dirt, oil, mold, mildew, biohazards, and other contaminants.
The grout, like the surrounding tiles, is now impervious to
spills, stains, and dirt.
Floors treated with the Grout Armor process should be cleaned
with a mild cleanser on a weekly basis. While we strongly
recommend the use of Grout Armor™ Maintenance Cleaner
as the ideal cleaning agent, it is imperative that the use
of strippers, abrasives, bleach, caustics, or petroleum-based
cleaners be avoided. They will damage the sealer and void
the Grout Armor warranty. The benefit to using our trademarked
cleanser is that, in contrast to many commercial cleaners,
it leaves no invisible film residue, which invariably accelerates
dirt build-up.
The three-year guarantee against cracking, chipping, flaking,
peeling, fading or yellowing is valid in commercial applications
only when semi-annual Preventative Service Cleans are performed
by our technicians. However, we strongly recommend quarterly
maintenance visits by our technicians to ensure optimal appearance.
