In 1990, Randy's strong entrepreneurial spirit and keen industry vision culminated in the launch of his own full-service flooring maintenance company serving the commercial market. His extensive experience in various management positions with a major international pharmaceutical company, coupled with industry affiliations—Randy was a founding member of the Delta Nu Alpha Transportation Fraternity (Cincinnati, OH), founder and first president of the Association of Interstate Commerce Commission Practitioners and president of the National Council of Physical Distribution Managers—had yielded extensive industry resources and a solid background in facilities management.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Logistics and Instructor of Logistics and Curriculum Advisor at the same institution, Randy was the youngest person on record to be admitted to practice before the Interstate Commerce Commission at the age of 20.
After the launch of RD Weis Companies, he quickly recognized the benefits of working with manufacturer-specified cleaning programs and established a relationship with Milliken, one of the world's leading textile manufacturers. In 1996, he formalized his company's successful relationship with Milliken by becoming an authorized MilliCare® Commercial Carpet Care franchisee and then focused on expanding RD Weis Companies's range of product and service offerings.
Randy shares his industry expertise while playing an active role in multiple industry, civic and cultural associations. He is past Chairman of the StarNet® Commercial Flooring Cooperative (where he also served two terms as Director); Board Member of the Muscular Dystrophy Association; Board Member of the Fairfield Arts Council; past Board Member of IFMA, Hudson Valley Chapter; Board President of the Pajama Program; and past Board Member and Director of Membership of IFMA, Connecticut Chapter.
A frequent contributor to industry publications, Randy has been quoted in and written articles for a variety of publications including Crain's New York Business, New York Real Estate Journal, Cleaning & Maintenance Management, Today's Facility Manager, Facilities Design & Management, Better Buildings, Carpet & Rug Industry and Real Estate New York.
Mark Arbogast joins RD Weis as Vice President of Strategic Services, with a distinguished career in the flooring business with Mannington, Bentley Prince Street, and Mondo. Mark works out of our Elmsford, NY office covering strategic accounts, and is our Mondo representative for the New England area. Mark began his flooring career with Mannington as a Strategic Account Manager and then moved on to Bentley Prince Street where he was the US VP of Sales. After Bentley, Mark worked for Mondo where he headed up their US introduction of commercial rubber flooring. Mark and his wife Vicki live in Wilton, CT and are proud parents of two teenage daughters, Natalie and Charlotte. Mark hails from Buffalo, NY and is a graduate of Canisius College.
Melissa brings a wealth of experience in Education, Sales and Account Management as well as Marketing. Melissa has her BA in Spanish and her MS in Secondary Education, from Nazareth College of Rochester, and is a former teacher. Melissa is also experienced in Real Estate in the Greater Rochester Area, having worked with Nothnagle Realtors. Being a native and long-term resident of the Rochester Area, Melissa knows the area and markets, and has exceptional insight into people and building relationships.
Promoted to this position in April 2016, Brian covers first line operations for Boston as well as our Hartford office and is responsible for the supervision, scheduling and training of the technicians in both areas. Brian has been with RD Weis for four years and has worked in all facets of the New England operations, demonstrating a high level of dependability and an ability to grasp new services and to represent the company in a professional manner. Brian will spend a couple days a week in Boston and the remainder in Hartford. Brian will report to Roberto Carlos Molina.
Javier Cabrera joined the company as Junior Estimator, based out of the Elmsford office. Originally from Ecuador, Javier worked in the food industry after owning his own business and has worked weekends alongside our very own Carlos Molina installing flooring. Javier holds an Associates Degree in Finance. He currently lives in Norwalk, CT with his wife and son with another child on the way.
Sam is a CTS Flooring Account Executive with over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and management. Sam studied at Lehigh University where he earned his B.S in Business and Economics, and earned his MBA in Marketing from Drexel University.
Peter is very hands on, having owned his own business restoring religious works of art. He also was involved with employee and fleet management and customer relations. In Peter’s new position, he will assist operations in a variety of roles. Peter will be on the cutting edge of new products and equipment, bringing the technicians up to speed and training them on new technology and processes. We intend to utilize Peter in other areas as they come up, such as providing more comprehensive client by client analytics to review our productivity and performance.
Christopher joined RD Weis in the spring of 2000 as a carpet maintenance technician. In the summer of 2003 he was promoted to the role of Warehouse Manager. He has continued to climb the RD Weis corporate ladder, and moved into his current role of Operations Logistics Supervisor in 2005. Christopher currently handles all scheduling for the Elmsford and NY Metro Office, in addition to handling the warehouse and vehicle fleet. Christopher, along with Vic Fotia, RD Weis Operations Manager at the RD Weis Headquarters, continues to put our customers first and plays a huge role in assuring company growth.
Karen joined RD Weis in 2006. She handles Accounts Payable as well as collections, and serves as the backup for purchasing. She's married with two children: Lauren is a sophomore in college and Justin a junior in high school. The family resides in Rye Brook, NY.
Vic Fotia joined RD Weis in 1994 as a Carpet Technician and quickly rose through the ranks, holding the positions of Lead Technician, Field Coordinator, Operations Supervisor of the CT office, Assistant to the Operations Manager, Night-time Supervisor and, currently, Manager of Operations. He is responsible for overseeing the duties of more than 20 Technicians and two Night Field Supervisors in the Elmsford, NY, NY Metro, NJ and Lower CT areas. A committed, "hands-on" manager, Vic, along with Chris Dias, Operations Logistical Supervisor, continues to put RD Weis customers first and plays a huge role in assuring company growth. Vic, a native of Port Chester, is a die-hard Yankees fan and he prides himself on never missing a game!
Kim Francis joined RD Weis Companies in 2008 after fifteen years in the spa industry, where as a fully licensed cosmetologist she worked as manager and educator. Kim's salon won several awards, and her service background, humor, and concern for others makes Kim a great asset to our Telemarketing/Marketing and National Accounts departments.
Kymberly completed several internships at RD Weis, prior to joining the company in 2014 as the Finance Project Controller. Martin graduated from the University of the West Indies in Jamaica where she earned a B.S in Operations Management.
Sheri Gorman joined the RD Weis Companies sales team in January 2007, bringing years of valuable experience in the A&D market. Sheri develops new sales contracts with an emphasis on sustainable design and specifying, and supervises A&D and end-user accounts in the New York metro area. With a deep commitment to reclamation and re-use, Sheri is a LEED AP and credentialed with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design, along with additional academic and professional training and CEU Certification.
Sheri has acquired extensive experience working in carpet tile specification for the Top 100 Interior Design Firms in the New York metro area, and was responsible for leading Milliken & Company’s A&D strategy in this region. Sheri is affiliated with NY IIDA, CARE, IFMA, NEWH, and StarNet Worldwide.
She has specified and worked on many of the New York City’s largest commercial projects such as NYU Medical, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Stuart Weitzman.
Sheri continues to service a wide range of market segments as well as the Architect and Design community to generate product, installation and maintenance flooring specifications using a wide range of RD Weis Companies services. She is proud to be AAHID StarNet Healthcare Certified and resides on the NY IIDA Healthcare Committee, is Chairperson of the StarNet Specifier Committee, and was on the Board of Directors of CARE.
Drew is the President of CTS Flooring and also supports the company in the role of Chief Operating Officer. Drew is a graduate of Penn State University.
Fran has more than 20 years of experience in the flooring industry and serves as the Vice President of CTS Flooring. He is a graduate of Millersville University.
Jenny has over 25 years of experience in the industry working with commercial flooring, and serves as the Project Manager for CTS. Jenny is a graduate of Penn State University.
Promoted to his current position in June of 2006, Kevin is charged with growing RD Weis's, full range of service offerings in the national market. His primary efforts are focused on maximizing opportunities for service expansion to existing clients and pursuing a broadening scope of nationwide multi-location retail accounts. Kevin joined the company in the early 90s as Operations Manager and, within a short time, was promoted to Manager of National Accounts. He remained in this position until he was named Director of Sales, overseeing office and sales staff, developing and implementing new sales initiatives, including the creation of a protocol for new sales associates, and enlarging the company's market share in flooring maintenance. Kevin was elected to the Board of the Hudson Valley Chapter of IFMA and currently serves as Treasurer. He holds an Associates Degree in Business from Norwalk Community College.
Suzanne Kolb joins RD Weis as a Senior Account Executive, working primarily in the Connecticut market, working out of our South Windsor office as well as her home office.
Suzanne brings 20 years of commercial interior design experience with her. She has spent the past 15 years as a contract interior designer with a Steelcase partnership company as well as a lead designer for a design build firm out of Bristol, CT, specializing in Hospitality design and renovations. For the past 5 years Suzanne has been focusing her attention on Commercial floor covering. She was a Strategic Account Manager for Aetna field and national accounts as well as a Project Manager for Fortune 500 accounts. She has transitioned to flooring sales. Her interior design background is an added dimension in understanding her client’s needs. Suzanne has a degree from The New York School of Interior Design.
Ed joined The Invironmentalists™ sales staff in 1998, and has been responsible for the development of new accounts for their trademarked carpet maintenance system, ResisTech™. With RD Weis' acquisition of The Invironmentalists' New York, NY and Canton, MA offices in June of 2004, Ed continues to service current ResisTech accounts, while selling this cleaning/maintenance system to prospects in the New York metro area. He holds a bachelor's degree from Iona College, and completed post-graduate work in business at George Mason University.
Brittany joined RD Weis in 2016 as an A&D Sales Representative in the New York office, bringing invaluable experience in negotiation, strategy and sales. Prior to RD Weis, Brittany attended law school and worked as a paralegal on Long Island. She was a sales associate for a luxury women's brand retailer at its location at the Walt Whitman Shops where she was promoted to the highest non-supervisory position.
Brittany received her Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University’s Maurice A. Deane School of Law in Hempstead, NY and was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. She has a BA in English with a Minor in Political Science from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA.
Rob joined the RD Weis Companies team in May 2010. With 22 years of experience in commercial floor covering, and familiar with manufacturers and commercial dealers, Rob brings a wealth of skills and knowledge regarding project consulting, estimating, procurement, project management, and development. Rob is a deeply committed sustainability specialist, advising on and creating economically and ecologically viable solutions for corporate, healthcare, A&D, and commercial interiors. An Associate Member of IFMA NY and CoreNet, Rob has a BA in Geology from Bucknell University.
An RD Weis veteran, James started with the company soon after its founding as a field technician. His hard work and diligence quickly led to his promotion to lead technician and, then, to Manager of Operations. In 1993, James helped the company open its first branch office in East Hartford, CT. Developing business in the Hartford and Boston area markets, James served as RD Weis' Area Manager. After moving back to the Elmsford headquarters, he was promoted to his current position of Senior Account Executive. In this capacity, James is responsible for penetrating and servicing large accounts, developing new business relationships and educating clients and prospects on proper carpet selection, installation and maintenance.
Charmaine has over 20 years of Project Management experience in the flooring industry, and works as CTS Floorings Service Channel Specialist.
Roberto Carlos Molina was promoted to Regional Vice President - Operations for New England in 2016, overseeing the operations, project management, and estimating for both offices. Carlos, a 12-year veteran with RD Weis began his career in Westchester as an estimator and has grown with the company seeking new challenges throughout the years, and has performed at an exemplary level since day one. Carlos is an important part of the fabric of the New England offices and has been a good mentor to the project managers throughout the company. Carlos also, is an important contributor to our Operations Managers team, who constantly is sharing new ideas and best practices.
Carlos has been an excellent representative from the company and understands the importance of good work, great service, and working as a team.
Joe Pedalino joined our team in New Jersey as Manager-Business Development. Joe is a 20+ year veteran of floor covering, working with both Milliken and Patcraft/Shaw. During his time with both these mills, Joe did substantial business with RD Weis Companies and was a terrific mill partner through the years, working on some of our largest projects, including Verizon World Headquarters, Toys R Us, and ETS. An effective and tireless sales executive, Joe put Milliken and Patcraft on the map in New Jersey. Joe is the proud father of two, Gail and Sammy, and is very involved in soccer, camping and all of the important activities of adolescents. Joe, an avid Yankees baseball fan, is a graduate of Seton Hall.
Mike joined RD Weis as Regional Manager for Central New York, with responsibilities for opening a new branch office in Henrietta, NY. Mike has experience in all areas of carpeting, maintenance and facilities' management, as well as a dedication to customer service. Since joining the company in 1998, he has focused his efforts primarily on building carpet selection, installation, reuse and renewal business in the Rochester, Syracuse and Binghamton areas. Prior to RD Weis, Mike was a Department Manager for Office Environments, Asheville, NC, where he started in 1991.
Joe is the Vice President of Operations at CTS Flooring. Joe is a graduate of Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, and has over 25 years of experience working in the flooring industry.
Kevin has worked for over 15 years in the industry as the National Account Project Manager, as well as hardware and software support for CTS Flooring. Kevin is a graduate of West Virginia University where he earned his B.S in Business Administration.
Larry joined the RD Weis operations team at the close of 2004, when the company acquired the assets of The Invironmentalists™ (formerly known as DuPont Flooring Systems), where he was Operations Manager for two years. In his current position he manages all aspects of operations including the output of the Rochester office's six technicians, along with warehouse operations and vehicle fleet. Before joining The Invironmentalists, Larry was sole proprietor of his own janitorial services company, which he launched in 1992 and eventually expanded to three locations in Upstate/Central New York. Nowadays, Larry spends his leisure time camping with his family, and rooting for the Yankees and the Buffalo Bills.
Rose assumed her current position in June of '06, with full responsibility for customer service and managing RD Weis‚ national accounts programs. She began her career at RD Weis in 1998 as Customer Service Coordinator and, within the year, was promoted to Procurement Supervisor. Prior to joining RD Weis, Rose worked in various administrative capacities for Loral Space & Communications and The Wackenhut Corporation. Rose holds an Associate Degree in Occupational Studies from the Wood School, New York, NY.
Alicia works in Project Management at CTS Flooring and has over 10 years of experience working in management and business administration. Alicia studied at Florida State University where she earned her B.S in Criminology, and later earned an M.S in Public Safety from Capella University.
Robert Shannon joined the RD Weis sales team in March 2005, and is responsible for expanding the company's market share in carpet maintenance and product installation in the New York City and New Jersey territories. He brings 25 years of successful selling skills to RD Weis. A former member of The Invironmentalists™ NYC sales force, his familiarity with maintenance technologies will benefit current and prospective clients alike. With an M.B.A. in Marketing from Hofstra University, Rob has successfully applied his knowledge and aptitude to various sales positions in consumables and sporting goods, and several positions in the banking industry.
Rosa has, since her hire at RD Weis in 1993, been promoted through a series of appointments, each with increasing responsibilities and prominence. She holds a Certificate in Human Resources from Manhattanville College and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. She oversees the entire finance organization, as well as Employee Relations, Recruiting, Implementation of policies and procedures, Benefits, Compensation, Training and Development, Payroll, file maintenance and employee recognitions and strategic alliances with consultants throughout all seven RD Weis office locations.
Rosa has also served RD Weis Companies as Director, Administration & Operations/Metro NY, during which time she was responsible for the integration of The Invironmentalists' sales and maintenance operations with those of RD Weis'. Prior to this, Rosa served for two years as Manager, Projects & Services, charged with oversight on Purchasing, Inventory Control, Project Accounting, Contract Services and Installation Services. She first joined RD Weis in an administrative role, was soon promoted to Manager of Retail Sales, and then to Projects Manager in 1996. Rosa earned her BA in Business Administration from Pace University.
Tim's prime responsibilities include getting ahead of major projects in our market area, determining who the decision makers are, and working with the team to determine the approach. Tim brings with him many years of experience in business development for some well-known architectural firms. He has worked for SCR, Soffes Wood Design, and most recently JRS. He has contacts in the corporate, healthcare, and education segments.
A native of New Jersey, Tim graduated from Farleigh Dickinson and in his free time enjoys working on his house.
Bernard joined RD Weis Companies as a tech and in 2012 was promoted to Project Manager. He works out of our Elmsford office.
Recently promoted to General Accountant in recognition of her expertise and efficiency, Angela joined RD Weis in 1998, as Accounting Manager, after four years' experience in office management and production. She was simultaneously enrolled at Iona College, from which she later earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Based in the Elmsford headquarters, Angela is responsible for all of the company's day–to–day accounting operations.
